This is the William Jolly Bridge in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.  The Brisbane City Council lights up some of the buildings and bridges for special occasions and to support causes.  The light installation illuminating the bridge here was to celebrate Australia Day.
Cape Byron is in Northern NSW about two hours by car from Brisbane and is Australia's most Easterly mainland point.  This iconic Lighthouse is so recognisable that it attracts over 500,000 visitors every year from around the world and Australia.  To see the sun rise from this vantage point is magical and people arrive in the dark  to see the spectacle that awaits them.  From backpackers to the rich and famous, Byron Bay has something for everyone.  If you want to surf, then surf. If you want to chill in one of the many eateries, then have a bite to eat.
