"Overall, I had a pleasant stay, largely because of the hotel’s excellent location. It’s directly beside Sakai Station, making it incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The port area is also within walking distance and has a charming atmosphere that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll.
The room itself was spacious, and I enjoyed the view. I also appreciated that there were vending machines and ice machines available on various floors, which was very convenient. I stayed in a Superior Double Room.
That said, the hotel is showing its age. The décor feels dated, and there were noticeable stains on the carpets in both the hallways and the room. Unfortunately, I also found an obvious stain on my bedsheet, which wasn’t a great first impression.
The biggest disappointment was the air conditioning. It simply wasn’t cold enough to cope with the summer heat. I asked if a fan was available, but the staff informed me they didn’t have any and suggested turning the older dial thermostat to the maximum cooling setting and waiting about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this made no noticeable difference, and the room remained warmer than I would have liked.
Despite these issues, the hotel’s outstanding location and the excellent breakfast buffet helped make the stay enjoyable. If the hotel refreshed its interiors and improved the air conditioning, it would be an even better place to stay."
