「Great hotel 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Generous sized rooms. Breakfast was great and lots of choices. Great value for money.」

「We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

「This is a delightful place. The staff is wonderful. The building is charming」

「We were here for a wedding. Everything ran like clockwork and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One word of warning, if you have mobility issues make sure you are on a floor serviced by a lift」

「Lovely one night stay right next to the convention centre. Room as expected, clean with plenty of space. Car parking very convenient and easy to find. Staff all friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel was lovely. Breakfast excellent and good service. Would definitely stay again.」

「Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.」

「Run down and poorly maintained Chairs in room were threadbare, the table was marked and water stained. You should replace them or throw them away as in the room would be better without this rubbish. The towel rail was not working and was the same design as the one my parents had fitted in 1967. Only 2 staff at reception with resulting long queues and gruff uncommunicative staff. You need more staff at busy times. The machine to pay for parking is placed next to reception adding an additional...

「We had a one night stay, so didn’t use many of the facilities. Our room was small, but warm, clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Our problem was with access to the hotel. It was dark when we arrived, Harrogate had many one way roads and a lot of roadworks semi-closing others. We eventually had to abandon the car, walk to the hotel and ask for help as to how to get into the car park. Staff were very helpful and got us sorted. We had booked a space in the car park,...

「Second stay at this hotel and room was very clean with a large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good but coffee could have been hotter. Bar area was good with plenty of choice of drinks. Located in a nice quiet and secluded venue and ideal for visiting York and surrounding area.」

「Its a village pub. Vegi food was disgraceful but fine if you want a supermarket quiche warmed up and you want to pay £16 for it with re-fried chips! Window was held open by a block of wood! Bed was very rock and roll!」

「Lovely and clean, nice hosts and very good location」
