「The property doesn't have its own parking. There is free parking available on the street parallel to the entrance but this wasn't clear from the description. I appreciated the keyless nature of the accommodation. The gate lock can be a bit tricky to open. The room was clean and the bathroom was fantastic. They provide some food in the small lounge but I couldn't see anything gluten free.」

「We booked a deluxe en-suite double room with (according to the website) a four-poster bed. This room was no longer available and we were assigned a room which was dark and grubby. We were also informed that there would be no food available ("don't do food anymore"), despite breakfast and evening meals being offered on the website. 「We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!」

「We had a lovely three day stay at the Plantation House Hotel. Our suite was spacious very clean. Bar. Lots of choices of beer wine and spirits and nibbles before dinner. Dining. The menu was absolutely first class cooked and presented to a very high standard, absolutely loved the lamb. Breakfast. Again lots of choice with yoghurt, porridge, cereals and then of course there is different options for your cooked breakfast. Every member staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful, an asset...

「The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.」

「This was a quick overnight stay on the drive back from Cornwall. The off-street parking and affordability were key in our purchase. Our room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.」
