"Beautiful property with delicious food and an incredibly helpful and friendly staff! One of the staff members even saw us rummaging through a bowl of flags for their "Where are you from" map and we casually mentioned that we couldn't find our country but it was alright, then left for a little walk around the property. When we came back, the staff member had printed it out for us! Little details like that show the staff pay attention and go beyond what is required to help their guests. Would absolutely stay again. "This is a very authentic Japanese hotel and appeared to be mostly Japanese tourists. The dinner buffet had very loud live performance and the audience was definitely into it. There's an onsen at this hotel and a pool. The pool closes early and opens late so heads up. We didn't really pay attention to where the hotel was. It's about a 45 minute train from the Nara Park, we may have booked a closer place if we'd known, but for the experience of staying at this hotel it was pretty much worth it."

"Excellent service and very low key. I got up early in the morning and wanted a coffee. I went to the front desk and asked if they had coffee and a man directed me to a coffee making machine that was excellent. I wanted a second cup and needed change the man helped me out. Later I went to the morning service and come to find out the man helping was the reverend of the temple! Super nice! Morning service was excellent!"

"The hotel is very utilitarian but clean and efficient. The staff was very, very helpful and friendly. If you are lookimg for basic lodging close to a train station and good restaurants (all Japanese language) - this is a very good option at a very reasonable price. "
