"I love how accommodating the staff was here. We were nearly an hour late for our dinner but they went above and beyond to serve us anyway. The food was one of the best we've had throughout our entire trip of Japan as well. The room and atmosphere was also very cozy and we loved pretty much everything!"

"We had a very pleasant stay. The food was excellent, everything was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. We especially enjoyed the morning ceremony, which made the experience memorable. On the downside, the stay felt quite expensive by any standard. Considering the price, it was disappointing that every step in the hallway could be heard, and that drinks other than tea were not included."

"We enjoyed the ryokan very much for the authenticity of old Japan. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Wearing the yutaka at the property was such a thrill for us. The staff were so friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Such a contrast from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Osaka central. And the view from the 5th floor! Breathtaking. Very convenient to be shuttled from the train station. Thank you again. "

"Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!"

"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

Las habitaciones están en fuera del templo, por lo que a las 17. No hay ningún tipo de contacto ni actividad para hacer ni te ofrecen info. They tour you through the entire property and help you adjust to temple life. Our room was bigger than every hotel we stayed in in Japan and a private bathroom (most the other temples do not have this) - sold!!! The garden, and bath, were so relaxing to enjoy. I actually had the bath to myself! The location is superb and the curfew is 10pm, which is great since most temples in Koyasan are 9pm! I found the food to be delicious and unique and sleeping on the floor extremely comfortable! I loved everything about this, just wish we could have done 2 nights here (but the price didn't allow for that!) If you aren't sure which temple to choose, choose this one!"

"An exceptional and unforgettable experience. We learned meditation techniques and took part in the goma ritual, which was truly incredible. The shukubo is very clean and well maintained. There’s no AC or private restroom since the original structure is preserved, but that adds to the authenticity of the traditional Japanese stay. Highly recommended!"
