"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

"For most people it’s a once in a lifetime experience as it was for us. Good food, the onsen was not so good, ceremonies, which due to our lacking Japanese we couldn’t understand. But all in all a great experience. It was rather cold in the temple. "

"Apologies that we arrived late at hotel an hour after the dinner time. Thanks hotel owner offered to servie us late dinner! We stayed at hotel for 2 days with half-boarding. The room was exceptionally clean, modern and equipped with all amenities. They served varieties of teas and desserts in room. We loved their tea congee, and chicken hot pot. So glad we chose to stay with them to explore Yoshino! Definitely a 5-star! Highly recommended! "

"It is a simple ryokan which shows how it used to be. Very serene and quiet place with a small but beautiful onsen (hot pool and outside rockpool). Right there he walk to the Buddhist temple along the Kansii River starts. A most outstanding forest walk with many Buddhist features along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and that 2 hour walk."
