「ヨーク大学の近くのホテルを探していて、庭や部屋の雰囲気が素敵だったので予約しました。ヨーク駅からは、7番のバスに乗って、Fulford Road, Main Streetで下車します。バスの運転手さんにホテルの名前を告げたところ、近くまで来たら教えてもらえました。部屋は広く、スーツケース2つ十分に広げるスペースがあります。またベッドもかなり広く快適で、夜ぐっすり休むことができました。古いホテルなので、少し壁が薄いですが、夜は静かでした。浴槽付で、洋服ダンス、引き出しなど収納スペースも十分あり、長期滞在にも便利です。ヨーク大学までは、歩くと20分ほどかかります。地元の人が愛用している、昔からあるホテルのようで、滞在中よく結婚式やパーティーなどが行われていました。近くにパブがあり、ホテルで食事も可能です。ただ市内に出たほうが、お店はたくさんあると思います。宿泊は年配の方が多かった気がします。ヨークで静かに過ごしたい人におすすめです。」

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was ready 4 hours early so we were able to check straight in. Really handy as they have lockers you can leave your stuff in to go back and collect after you’ve checked out, saves you having to carry big bags and cases around York with you. We will definitely be back. Perfect location to, only a 10 minute walk to York city centre. 」

「Do not disturb の札を掛けておいたが、無断で入られていて、テレビが壁から外された状態のままにされていた。フロントに行き理由を聞いたところ、テレビの調子が悪かったので修理を頼んだとのことだったが、前夜に付けた際は何の問題も無く映っていた為、不可解に思った。貴重品は持って出かけており、大抵の物はしまっていたため、何の被害も無かったが気持ち悪くなった。やたら朝食を薦めてくるが、宿泊代に含まれているのか確認した方がいい（単独で10ポンドもする）。安く宿泊出来たが、人に薦められるレベルではない。」
