Although dated and in need of modernisation, this place was clean with everything you need. Checking in and accessing the room key was quick and easy. The room was large, bathroom was clean, bedding was clean. Tv worked. plenty of hot water.

I would NOT recommend this ‘hotel’. I actually thought I was squatting in a derelict building. The property has not been well maintained and smells strongly of damp throughout. My bathroom door wouldn’t shut, the tv didn’t work, the WiFi didn’t work and the bed was really uncomfortable.

Beds not properly made and floor was creaky and the smell once you entered the hotel was horrendous and I hope no one goes there to stay . Never seen members of staff only 1 . It was like no one cares . Wardrobes dirty and floor dirty windows omg . Please don’t stay at this hotel simply terrible. Do not book at this hotel .

It was the most disgusting place it needs to be cleaned up. We could not even view the room we had to find alternative accommodation which was extra cost not budgeted for. This place should NEVER be advertised. I am sorry I paid for this poor excuse of a hotel

Expected a old building drom outside but not un side. All carpets dirty or coming up. Tiled floors not mopped. Bedroom had stained carpet one bed had big body fluid stains on it. Light switches falling of wall. Asked for extra clean sheets and staff was accommodating. Shower heads was up to date but the tray was hanging off. Also curtans where dateded had holes in. Games room and library locked up was not allowed ro enter.

Title: Lovely clean room, but could use improvements in service and maintenance The Good Points: * Cleanliness: We were very pleased to find both the bedroom and bathroom perfectly clean upon our arrival. * Room Amenities: The room included helpful essentials like a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, two comfortable chairs, and a tea and coffee kettle station. Areas for Improvement: * Front Desk Availability: We had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes at reception to get our keys because no one was at the desk. We tried to go back later to ask for help with a few missing items, but unfortunately, the desk was empty again. More consistent staff presence would be wonderful. * Access & Parking: Reaching the hotel can be a bit tricky as the approach road is very narrow with cars parked on both sides. On-site parking is also quite limited, meaning we had to wait a while to secure a space. * In-Room Details: A few minor things were missing from our room, such as the TV remote control, hand soap in the bathroom, and a spoon for the tea and coffee tray. * Maintenance Issues: The bathroom sink had no hot water during our stay. Additionally, the beds were quite squeaky, and the double mattress was noticeably dipping down on one side, making it feel a bit uneven. Summary: The housekeeping team does a fantastic job keeping the rooms tidy. However, our 2-night stay would have been much more comfortable with better maintenance and easier access to staff.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Green Gables Hotel. The building is extremely tired and in desperate need of renovation. The communal areas felt neglected, with stained carpets, dated décor, and an unpleasant musty smell that gave a poor first impression. The room was very basic and didn't match the expectations set by the photos online. Cleanliness was below the standard I expected, and several facilities either weren't available or weren't working properly. Overall, the hotel felt poorly maintained rather than simply "budget" didnt even have a working tv, even the window safty locks were damaged not safe for young children at all. While the location is convenient, it doesn't make up for the condition of the property. I understand this is a low-cost hotel, but basic cleanliness, maintenance, and accurately representing the accommodation should still be expected. Unfortunately, I wouldn't choose to stay here again or recommend it to others i wouldnt personaly recomend for a dog never mind a family absolutly disgusting our stay went from a budget stay to feeling like a family in poverty
