"The lady at the reception desk (Ripa was her name I think) was welcoming and friendly. We had breakfast but as a coeliac I was disappointed that my breakfast options were less varied than for others. The sausages and hash browns were not gluten free (both items are available gluten free in supermarkets, so why can't the hotel serve them to guests if requested). There were no gluten free pastries/cakes either. The croissants on display (not gluten free) were the small ones that you can buy from the supermarket, like in a bag of eight or so. They looked squashed and not so appetising to my companions who are not coeliac. So, the breakfast was a bit disappointing. I have stayed at other hotel chains and some (such as Premier Inn) will take your order and cook it separately so that there is no cross-contamination from the buffet breakfast. All items on the buffet have been available gluten free. That is the level of service that someone with coeliac disease should be getting. Sorry Copthorne Tara, you could and should do better by your customers."
