"Clean room, bathroom was pretty small and staff did not let us know how the elevator worked and the staff member that checked us out was not very friendly and we didn’t know where to leave luggage, when we asked he assumed we knew and was not very professional "
"I’m torn. The staff and location was great! I’m close proximity to everything. The sleep quality, not so much. Super hot rooms where you cannot control the temperature. We literally had to leave a window in the bathroom open at night so we could sleep. They have old radiator heaters and no way to adjust the temperature. The second problem are the heaters themselves. They start knocking and making loud noises about every two hours at night for about 45 seconds while they turn on. Long enough to wake you up and keep you awake until the noise goes away. The sound is like someone hitting a wrench on a piece of metal, really noisy. The last thing, the beds were hard as a rock and made my back ache.
The staff was great, but were not able to fix any of the problems. Bring some ear plugs if you stay in this place "
"The gentleman who helped us with the check in was amazing.
The lady with the check out had a really bad attitude.
The hotel is well located, close to liberty park, so very convenient to go to the Statue of Liberty.
The area is very noisy, not sure if this is the case for all NYC"
"I was charged over 400 a night for 2 nights and the room looked like it was still in 1990. No refrigerator, the carpet was old, all the furniture looked like it was bought from the salvation army, both beds had missing pieces, the thermostat didn't work at all so i couldn't control the temperature in the room, the bathroom was ruated in different areas and there was hair in there from god knows when. I will NEVER in my life stay here again and i DO NOT recommend this hotel, even to my worst enemy. "
"Perfect location to enjoy theatre and New York. My single room was small but I expected that from the information provided- however it was comfortable, clean, safe, quiet and convenient for my needs. Easy check in. "
"When we finally got the keys to our room, it turned out the room was already occupied so we had to go back to the lobby and get a new room. We were in a rush to get to a dinner event so this turned out to be a real inconvenience.
Never happened here before, so just hoping it’s a one off as we stay here somewhat often. "
