「Staff were friendly. Room was clean and spacious except the bathroom, which was like being on the Cook Strait ferry. Small and combined with toilet. When showering the whole room got wet including the toilet. View of Harbour was nice in the morning with this in the trees outside. Good wifi for online meetings. Towels weren't very absorbent, but there were enough. Felt like a retirement village because that is what it has been in past.」

「Great staff particularly Bree & Noella Room clean & tidy Shops very close by」

「No wall oven or extractor fan in kitchen which limited cooking options/made it a bit difficult to cook - advertised as full kitchen so was expecting this but also should have looked at photo. Some road noise at night as right next to road. Very warm and cosy.」

「Great place to stay」

「The staff were very helpful. Had a room with a sofa bed and the staff made up the bed. Clean room and alot of space.」

「Quiet and very clean. We arrived well before check-in but we were able to leave our luggage in the unit. The only negative was that all the pillows were very high. We bought some very cheap low profile ones at the Mall. Smart TV so we were able to watch our usual programs without casting. Very reasonably priced.」

「The Bucket Tree Lodge was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. There was a bit of a problem with the shower in that it didn't have enough fall and so the floor had to be protected by towels, but the owners were working on having the shower replaced so it won't be an ongoing problem :)」

「Will stay again」

「Great value motel and convenient to supermarkets, restaurants, and the train station.」
