"Great to be able to park right next to the Inn. Early check in and able to leave car on last day so could go for another walk in the area. All staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room, (room 2) overlooking the front. Quiet, comfortable bed, free toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee etc in room. Great evening meal and great choice for breakfast each morning. Sold ice creams too which was just the job after a long walk around the Langdales on what was a very hot day. Will definitely stay again and recommend."

"We had a deluxe room with a patio. The room was large, but very dated and with stains and scuffs throughout. The patio was private (we weren't aware of that) so our bedroom opens up directly onto a shared patio which meant we couldnt have our curtains open to admire the view. The coffee machine was missing from our room as well. The spa was nice, but very small. It was overcrowded when we went with people queuing inside the spa for beds / steam room, and also queuing to access the spa. We had breakfast which was very nice and the restaurant is a nice setting. Grasmere itself is lovely and ideally located. Staff very kind and professional "

"Lovely staff, beautiful surroundies good place to access hikes or lovly small towns. Roads are narrow getting there but it is a gorgeous location. Excellent breakfast and pub food. We really enjoyed our stay."

"The location was great. The house had plenty of space and was warm on a very wintery long weekend.There was one minor niggle and one fairly major one that would have been a lot worse if staying more than 3 nights:Minor - kitchen bin life would not close - common issue with the type of bin, probably just needs replacing.Major - hot water - the red light above the economy 7 switch for the overnight hot water was not on when switched on and there was no hot water in the morning. Using the daytime override did produce hot water but even if left a long while there was never enough for a full shower (even a fairly quick one).Those issues aside it was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there."
