"My husband and I first stayed at the Royal for our honeymoon in 2021 (a year after our wedding due to COVID), and we absolutely loved our experience. We recently returned in 2026 to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and even brought along some family members for their first visit. Between 2021 and this most recent trip, I recommended the Royal to just about everyone I knew I truly couldn’t say enough good things about it. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling disappointed. While I understand that prices have increased, with VAT and gratuity now added to everything, I was more than willing to pay based on the exceptional experience and hospitality we previously received. However, I did notice a significant decline in service compared to our first stay. Throughout our time there whether leaving our room, grabbing coffee, enjoying lunch by the pool or beach, or dining in the restaurants the staff did not seem as welcoming or engaged. In the past, what stood out most was how kind, soft-spoken, and genuinely warm the employees were. They made an effort to connect with guests and truly understood that we were there to relax and escape from our daily lives. This time, that feeling was largely missing. Additionally, the ongoing construction made it difficult to fully relax in our room during the day, which took away from the overall experience. "Majority of the staff were amazing… with the exception of the pool bartenders… they were just the opposite…. Not very welcoming or fun if your an older white man…. Romell the door man was great and did all he could to accommodate… The cleaning staff was exceptional… they made my bothers birthday so special with a cake, balloons and always a clean room…love the swans…."

"We had a wonderful stay. Sarah was very responsive, attentive, and easy to communicate with. The place was very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.A couple of helpful notes for future guests: our favorite restaurant nearby was Cabbage Beach Bistro, which wasn’t listed in the house book. We’d also recommend Cheryl’s Taxi Cab, which was mentioned in the book. We tried a few other taxi companies and found Cheryl’s to be the most prompt, reliable, and reasonably priced for the area.Nothing is inexpensive here, but everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our time here. We would happily stay again."

"Went here with a friend for a few nights. It was a perfect little getaway. The staff are all very friendly, it was clean and lovely. The food and drinks were great and there was great entertainment and activities. You can walk to a beautiful beach nearby and to Atlantis, which is free to wander around at night. We also walked to Nassau, it took about 35 minutes but was a great outing. Very safe area and just beautiful."

"Room was clean, however we booked the cove and multiple maintenances were being done on the property. Spa was not available, the original adult pool was not available, loud drilling noises on the building balcony was being done early in the morning."

"We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The condo is decorated very nicely with a large table indoors as well as one on the patio overlooking the back pool and ocean. It is a very peaceful, non crowded community. Plenty of chairs at both pools with easy beach access. The surf is a little rough or at least was during our week there. We would walk a short distance and swim at a part that had a lifeguard in front of Riu or one of the other properties. We had one issue with the grill not working. By the time we got back it had already been replaced! This is clearly a very thoughtful property owner. John has thought of everything to make a stay comfortable including a backpack cooler and snorkel gear. The restaurant is a great option to grab quick and affordable pub type food the kids enjoyed. The villas are the perfect location to walk to Atlantis and into town. It is a safe feeling island and felt comfortable walking around at night. We look forward to returning as soon as we can. "
