"We stayed at the Sands Ocean Club Resort from 5/9-5/11. Had a late check-in and appreciated the 24/7 staffing at the front desk. Our night was quickly upset by waking up around 4am to bedbugs in room 1601. They bit my partner and left welts on his arm for the weekend, which was not pleasant. The hotel moved us to a different room for the weekend where we had no other issues. We are waiting to hear if our night with the bedbugs will be comped. The hotel is doing an "internal investigation" and told us they will follow-up. We appreciated the pool, the beach bar and the beachfront property - but everything else about the hotel was subpar. Both rooms were poorly maintained. I suggest this hotel only if your plans are to beach & sleep."

"Our stay was pretty good. The amenities are great, we were right on the beach. Our room was a bit outdated but not a biggie. Bedding was great! My only 3 concerns are - Breakfast. It was a buffer breakfast that was located about a block away. Food was ok, coffee was meh.. - Construction on the beach. If you are an esthetic this place is not currently for you - Customer service 😮‍💨 People were simply not pleasent."
