"Beautiful elegant historic hotel. My stay has always been excellent with the best customer service."

"The room was very large and nice. Very clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. I had trouble with the lighting. There was a master switch that had to be turned on or some of the lights wouldn’t work. Also the air conditioner was very loud but I just turned it off as the room was cold. I was not told that there would be an additional $39 parking fee added on to the room charge. This upset me. The manager seemed to think that everyone should know that you have to pay to park in a big city. I thought the motel would have a parking garage that would be included in the room cost. The manager gave me a discount since I was upset. Very kind of her."

The room had multiple issues—the toilet functioned poorly and required several flushes, the sink drained very slowly, and basic amenities weren’t replenished (empty shower gel and no washcloths on day two). The noise was the worst part. The walls are paper-thin; I could hear everything. Guests next door blasted music and argued all night--literally all night, and security never responded when called. Overall, a miserable experience. I would not stay here again."
