We stayed at the budget inn and they make it very clear through the booking and on the lobby door of the budget inn that you checkin/out at the Thunderbird Inn next door. "Harbor View Inn is a wonderful place to stay on Mackinac Island! It's only a few blocks from Main Street, walking distance of 10 minutes, yet far enough away from Main Street to be quiet & peaceful. The Inn is very clean, the staff was very helpful & friendly. Bike rental is cheaper at the Inn than other rental places & it's a short walk of about 6 blocks to the ferry landing. Our luggage was handled very well--picked up at the dock from the ferry & in our room before we even got there! They also transported our luggage to the ferry dock & put it on the ferry for us when we departed the island. All this was done at no cost! I highly recommend staying at Harbor View Inn!!"
