"I'd been waiting 50 years to stay here! A fabulous little "tourist" motel complex literally across the street from the Soo Locks. As a child on vacation, my parents would drive by this modest venue on our way into Ontario to fish and etc. Our destination was never the Soo proper ... But it was mine, last week! Yes, the walls are thin and the venue itself is "retro" all the way, but the people are friendly and, honestly, compared to the two Wyndham properties I stayed stayed at on the same trip --- THIS independent had the a better free breakfast than the "fancy" hotel down the street. Furthermore, the Lockview Restaurant next door, even though not part of the same outfit, will give you a discount if you're staying at the Motel. And the food there is VERY good and generous. I'll be back here, for sure."

"A last minute stay after a car accident. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel is in the middle of all you want to see and do in the Soo. While it may look old on the outside, the inside is wonderfully updated. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, there are plenty of great places very close by."

"Staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good and options for just about anyone. Room was clean and inviting,plenty of towels. The little lotion was nice and unexpectedly useful. I wouldn’t think twice about staying here again in the future if I’m in the Soo"
