"The room is dingy and it smelled like cat urine. The towels smelled horrible and never seemed clean. I had to purchase my own towel and washcloth in order to bathe as well as sleep because the pillow case was filthy. The cleanliness in the photos do not match what the room actually looks like. Broken showers, horrible plumbing(sinks included), dusty and smelly furniture, cracked floors and baseboards, poor drainage, overflowing shower (there were pools of water each day due to poor shower drainage), I could literally go on. Also, the furniture is not sturdy. The glass on the table was wobbly so I was unable to store my items. The refrigerator was filled with cans and bottles that seemed to have been there from the 70s and there were dead mosquitoes lying around. And honestly it was the constant smell of cat urine that drove me crazy because it was so overpowering and it made me feel like the room was never cleaned despite housekeeping making up the bed each day. Overall, I’ll never book at this property again."

"I was disappointed by the room upon arrival but Josephine was quick and helpful with facilitating a room change and addressed all issues I encountered. The breakfast was a bit limited but was tasty!!!! The property needs updating and it has so much potential! (The back area that leads to the beach can be a selling point! Think Santorini) I’d like to thank Marcia for helping also she was very warm and informative and took great initiative with my friend and I also Sha thank you for your links! I can’t remember my housekeeper’s name but she was so kind and understanding. I’d give the stay a solid 7/10 there is room for improvement but the staff were very accommodating. I’d stay again ! Love the pool !"

"The room was very spacious and very clean and comfortable. The host had every imaginable thing that you would need. Plenty of towels, beach chairs and very large washer and dryer. The host even had a dehumidifier which came in handy as there were days it was humid outside. The balcony was also very relaxing to sit in the morning listening to the waves crashing. The walk to the private beach was easy as it was steps from the pool and when I say it was private, I mean it. There were times it was just our family there. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The American University is close by so the local restaurants were very reasonably priced. The best places we ate at were as follows: Fat Tony’s (burgers were good, get fried onions on it). In and Out (a little breakfast and lunch place that serves large sandwiches for under 10. Cupecoy Baquette ( across the street from Fat Tony’s) had great pastries and fresh OJ. Then right next door is a Japanese restaurant that had decent boba drinks. The restaurants that definitely was not with it was the Thai and Japanese restaurant by the Starz casino. Average at best and overpriced. Finally the best restaurant we went to was Roma (Italian restaurant in Maho). It ranks as one of the best Italian restaurant we visited. But avoid Mr. Chows unless you are going there for their appetizers and sushi. Stay away from their Chinese food. Overpriced and portions are small."

"This island home is a great place to stay. It was quiet, clean, and Miriam was responsive to all of our questions. The pool was lovely. We would highly recommend staying at this island home. We hope to stay again soon."
