"September 2025. The accommodation was clean, with comfortable beds and a well-maintained bathroom. The staff at the JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa provided exemplary service. The resort offered a luxurious atmosphere, with notable features including the fitness centers, spa and more... The only minor issue encountered was the lack of clear communication regarding the closure of some on-site restaurants during check-in and Beach Seaweed. Overall, a stay at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in St. Maarten delivers a premium and comfortable experience, particularly for guests seeking upscale amenities and high-quality service. "The view as you walk in is stunning. Corrine picked the perfect colors for glass countertops and furnishings. We had everything we needed and more!! Unfortunately, not the fault of the owners, the time of year (September) was bad because of the sargassum seaweed. We could not swim in the ocean, but the pool made up for it! We were able to cook on the grill and have several lovely dinners! It was wonderful!I must say as a side note, that the directions and signage of the resort could have been better (not the fault of the owners)"

"There are two restaurants on the property. We ate at each one at least once during our stay. The food was good, but I enjoyed going out and dining at the local restaurants. The bed was so comfortable. When we finally laid down in the evening we got some good rest. The staff were friendly and attentive."

"From start to finish, this was an amazing VRBO. We stay in them a few times a year, and this was by far the nicest, cleanest, most fully stocked place we have ever stayed.Their concierge, Roger, met us at the airport, helped us find the place, and walked us through the entire house, showing all the amenities and details on how to work everything.Walking in the door, there were little gifts for each person as well as a fruit basket. Each room is decorated beautifully, and so and private. The pool was well kept, and a comfortable temp. The gym had great equipmentMy favorite part, being a chef, was the quality of all the pots, pans, knives, cooking utensils, and the fully stocked spice shelf and pantry. Normally VRBO hosts skip this and do cheap stuff, but there was obviously a lot of thought in this. Thanks so much for the amazing house, Lisa! "

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the oceanfront villa in St. Martin! The accommodations were fantastic—the villa itself was beautiful, incredibly clean, and so well-stocked with everything we needed. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep after a day of exploring.The pool was definitely a highlight; we spent many hours relaxing by the water, taking in the stunning ocean views. It was the perfect spot to unwind.The only minor downside was the sargassum that had washed up on the beach during our stay. While this is a natural occurrence and not something the property can control, it did affect our ability to enjoy the beach directly. However, the fantastic pool and the overall comfort of the villa more than made up for it. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway!"

"The property is spectacular. Sitting up high on the hill/mountain-side with a perfect unobstructed view overlooking the Dawn Beach bay and the mountains of St. Bart centered on the horizon. The house was perfect for us - we were 4 adults and 7 kids and perfectly fit Villa Movina's 2 living spaces and 6 bedrooms rooms that could each be master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (plus multiple additional powder rooms and an additional full bathroom in the gym), and some with outdoor showers, jet hot tubs, etc. Many beautiful places to sit for a cup of coffee or glass of wine and enjoy the views. A standalone gym that was used most days. And two pools surrounded by chase lounges. The decor of the house is so nice we took photographs before leaving to come home with ideas. The owner of the house, John, and his team are among the most responsive people I have ever met, offering myriad ideas of things to do, help with ideas for our complicated travel schedule among islands, and organizing layout changes to the house such as converting a couple king beds to dual twin beds for the kids. With the height and view comes a steep hike! Rental car highly recommended/required. The island has so much to offer you will want it to get around anyway. That said, we did walk all the way down the hill to the beach and hotel properties and back up on several occasions - definitely doable, but it's a legit workout.We would definitely return, and miss the house and the island already"
