Duck Bay Hotel

"Exceptional location especially with the pier you can wander. Room was lovely and clean, well decorated and we had our own balcony that looked right onto the water which was great. Net curtains and thick curtains kept midges and light out. We ate in the restaurant and dinner was wonderful, fish tacos and fajitas were tasty. The reception staff were lovely to talk to and spoke to maintenance for us when we said our shower wasn’t working correctly. (Either cold or boiling) unfortunately the shower issue was unable to be solved in our two night stay. Breakfast was in a lovely room overlooking the water. The continental option was limited but the fruit selection was good. I would have preferred the pastries to not be in plastic wrapping but I understand why to minimise waste. The full Scottish was fine and the scrabbled eggs and smoked salmon were tasty although I did have to pay a £5 supplement for this. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay at Duck Bay as the lovely room, excellent location and tasty evening meal make up for any small short comings."

"Beautiful location on the east bank of Loch Lomond. Perfect place to stay for a planned climb of Ben Lomond or any other activities related to Loch Lomond. We stayed in one of the cottages. A lovely room and bathroom with a view of the loch. Super breakfast too in the main building."

"We enjoyed a lovely 1 night stay at the recently refurbished/redecorated Loch Lomond Arms Hotel. Check-in was seamless thanks to Lindsay who showed us to our room and told us a bit about the room name. The added touches in the room were lovely - whisky, gin and chocolates. The scallop starter is ridiculously overpriced for what it is - one scallop, pea puree and a haggis bonbon for £25. Never before have we paid that price for a singular scallop! At breakfast, perhaps the staff could explain the breakfast setup to guests when seating them. We didn't know the continental selection was available in the next room as we weren't told and several other tables also had to ask. Apart from the 2 points above, our stay was very enjoyable and our large room was very comfortable."

"Overall house was nice. Conservatory was a bit of a waste of space as gets way too hot during the day even with windows open. Suggest putting a solid roof on it to make it more useable. Under the bed was thick with dust, clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Kitchen could be better stocked. We had friends visit for the day from Glasgow and not enough glasses for lunch. Should be at least four of each and preferably six. Pillows very uncomfortable. Lack of clothes storage in bedroom and a light in cupboard under stairs would have helped as had to use it as wardrobe. Location was handy but no views. Maybe also provide some picnic chairs and a picnic table so people can go sit beside loch and enjoy the stunning scenery. A sunshade or umbrella for outside table would also be handy."

"Enjoyed a fantastic 5 days on a car trip around Loch Lomand. THe Pipersno.7 provided the perfect base for our travels. Located inside the castle on the first floor it was a high end apartment with everything provided to enjoy a luxury stay. Immaculately presented with a view to the front lawns and trees. Communication with manager was excellent with clear instructions about procedures for arrival and departure. I would highly recommend"

"Nice place. On property of Cameron House so get access to all amenities. Shuttle can take you back and forth across property. PM very responsive - we had a minor fix that needed attention. Would recommend."

"What a beautiful apartment in a beautiful location. We loved our stay, beautiful apartment, gorgeous decor well equipped. Beautiful high ceilings and views. Liz was extremely helpful, communicated with us immediately. My only small gripe was an odour in the bathroom which settled when we kept the door open, and some black mould around shower door and grouting, could be easily cleaned. Highly recommended a stay here."
