"The main feature of this property is the exquisite view of Mount Fuji and the privacy and serenity of very limited access. That said, the staff are warm and very attentive. The food was excellent and delightfully prepared and presented. The communal bath (which is by reservation) is architecturally interesting and offers a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. Our two days here may have been the quiet highlight of our trip to Japan. "

"I really enjoyed my stay here. My room felt spacious and very clean. I will say however it is a 20 minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station so if you have a lot of luggage like I did (2 Large Suitcases and a Backpacking bag) I'd recommend using a Taxi or their luggage services to avoid carrying all your luggage around. "The hotel is in a beautiful spot on the lake. We had a room with a Mt Fuji view and a private onsen which was beautiful. The hotel itself is outdated however it has everything you need. The half board dinner was amazing and the staff were lovely! Highly recommend!"

Check in is really easy (you'll need to use a translation app at times if you don't speak Japanese). For US Residents who aren't used to sleeping on the floor on just a futon mat or 2, you may be a bit stiff waking up. "This place was so neat! It had a very unique cottage vibe with a wonderful breakfast option. Make sure you order it before your reservation day. Warnings: This place is out in the woods with limited bus routes available. Like only 5-6 routes all day. So plan accordingly. Also, each room has its own toilet but you shares the shower/onsen room. Only one family/person uses it at a time. "

"Easy check-in, helpful staff, welcome hot coffee, in fact free coffee every afternoon. You can see Mt Fuji from hotel windows - what a bonus! Traditional Japanese breakfast at 800yen - so yummy. About 10-15minutes walk to Kawaguchiko station. Day passes by sightseeing buses or packaged tours are all at your finger tips to find out at the station. The 5 lakes and Mt Fuji - being the centre attraction is visible just from most vantage points of the lakes - so beautiful!"
