"Was wonderfully surprised from my recent stay at Mars Garden Wood Gotemba. It surpassed my expectations! I had booked it for its large room size and close proximity to Gotemba Premium Outlets. However, I was surprised by how nice the property was! I think it was recently facelifted which gave the place a clean and contemporary feel while retaining some traditional Japanese charm. We could see Mt Fuji from our room and the hotel has a dedicated viewing area on level 12. The grounds of the hotel were spectacular with a large pond and garden which felt so peaceful to take a stroll. Breakfast every morning was lavish and dinner at the teppanyaki restaurant was special with a night time fountain spectacle right beside. Thanks Mars Garden Wood for the wonderful stay!"

"The facility is nice, though a little outdated. Think of it as a high-end hotel from 10 years ago and you'll get the picture. The rooms are MASSIVE and the big hot tub is a life-saver after the long walks to the hotel (About 30 minutes from Gotemba station). Closest convenience store is about a 15 minute walk so make sure you stock up before you go to the hotel!! I would book here again for my next Hakone or Mt. Fuji trip"
