"The Hotel New Otani Osaka was a great experience overall for us.
The staff in Japan is almost always nice and professional, but here at the New Otani, they were actually really friendly, enthusiastic, and extra helpful. Always. If we even looked a little confused about something while in the lobby, a staff member would offer would come over and try to help us right away.
The hotel itself was very clean as usual in Japan. It seemed relatively well taken care of also. The room toiletries and appointing were nice also. I personally thought the bed was too hard for me, but my wife liked it. The location is pretty convenient also, and is within walking distance of several interesting things to do in Osaka. It's also close to the Osaka Loop line, which makes it easy to get to other parts of Osaka also.
We didn't use a car or try any of the hotel dining options on this trip, other than buying some pastries from Satsuki, which were pretty good.
I would probably stay at this hotel again if I needed to be in Osaka again. "
