"This ryokan is an absolute dream come true. I highly recommend booking multiple nights in a room with a private onsen, especially if you have tattoos and would otherwise miss out on the essential experience of hot springs in Japan. Also, the kaiseki dinner was one of the most incredible meals of my life. The staff are very accommodating and kind. To all of you: thank you so much for having us!"

"All in all great value for money, with very helpful staff and very clean rooms and great amenities. I did learn something about Japanese habits, though. The “kakeyu” tub in the otherwise great bath house was out of service and I noticed that most Japanese customers did not bother washing first when they can’t use the “kakeyu”. They stepped int ook the bath without even rinsing, so I hope the hotel will quickly restore the “kakeyu” tub. Also, I think it would be a good idea if the dinner menu and breakfast buffet had at least some local food from Kameoka or Tanba (black beans, local beef…?) on the menu. Otherwise, I can only applaud this hotel. Will definitely stay again."

"The hotel staff were amazing. They were super helpful and kind. The onsen facilities were very clean and well kept. The onsen was what we needed after long walks. It was very relaxing. They also offered massage services. They had free Ramen in the late evening which was greatly appreciated and free cold refreshments after going to the onsen. This was an excellent stay. I would visit again."
