"I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I liked that it was close to the bamboo forest (only a short bus ride). The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. The room was spacious, the bathroom was awesome with a tub, shower and rainfall shower head. They had various bathroom amenities and additonal things you could request. "We loved it! What a great hotel - staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast included in the restaurant downstairs was excellent, loved the gourmet waffles! And the room .. wow. It was very spacious and the layout and decor were beautifully minimalist. Also had sliding glass doors that opened onto a balcony. We also enjoyed the rooftop patio with couches, tent and great views. Very convenient to walk to from station and as easy walk to bridge/river. I would gladly stay here...

"This was our first stay at a rhyokan (spelling!)and we were blown away by the beauty, The comfort (personally I felt sleeping on tatami mats on a futon perfect). The attentive service was welcoming and spot on. We ate breakfast and dinner here and the local food was abundant, gorgeously presented and flavorful. We had a room with a private Onsen on a deck. Highly recommend. This was a unique, peak experience and I am a seasoned traveler. Do it. "
