Extremely safe to get around, therevwere plenty of maybach and Rolls-Royces in the valet while we were there. Crossing the street does require your utmost attention so make sure you watch a few instructional videos before you get there! The scooters are incredibly prevalent "

"We chose the Greatt Hotel for its location - 1 block from the Shilin Night Market (one of the best in Asia) and close to the Shilin train station - straight shot to CKS Memorial and convenient 15-minute bus to National Palace Museum. It is a bit spartan, but the rooms are clean and the bathroom was great. Reception was very nice and useful but did not speak English - the use of Google Translate solved all problems. I definitely recommend this hotel."

"It works if you need a simple place to stay for one night. The room was clean but beginning to show its age. Same goes for the rest of the hotel. More attentive maintenance in terms of paying attention to details will go far. It’s not close to any restaurants but there is a well stocked Family Mart 50 meters away. Staff was very friendly. It has potential. The owners just need to pay more attention to detail. I’d stay again if ever in need of an overnight for a transit. "
