Having stayed in a plethora of ryokan over many years in Japan, this is one of the best experiences I've had so far. Wonderful staff, excellent food and character galore. I'll be going back.

The hotel is located in a peaceful area overlooking the ocean. The living room and bedrooms are very spacious, and kitchen is well equipped. Parking is very easy, would highly recommend for traveling with a car.

Room was very clean and beautiful, just like the pictures promised. Breakfast and dinner buffets were quite subpar for around $40 per person.

Historic Ibsen in a beautiful setting. Excellent service. Two outstanding golf courses. East train ride from Tokyo.

Surrounded by lush greenery outside every window, soaking in the open-air hot spring that warms both body and soul, and strolling along flower-lined paths through the hills to discover Hakone's most breathtaking scenery. A truly unforgettable retreat.

I booked this hotel one day before golden week. It's a little bit pricey. But the good surprise was the traditional food, the view of Fuji mountain and you are eligible to use the princes hotel's hot spring as well. That one has hot spring outside of house. In the morning, jump to it was so nice. And then, in the evening, after whole day outside activities, you can come back and enjoy the hot spring in Ryuguden. the hot spring location is Very close to room. overall it's a nice choice.

A beautiful property on Lake Ashinoko with stunning views of Mt Fuji. Extremely close to the rope-way that takes you up to the shrine on the mountain with even more breathtaking views. Lovely rooms, helpful staff. Dining options are limited to the hotel as it is too remote to get anywhere else. Nice outdoor onsen

Came here for the Roykan experience and i got it The food for both dinner and breakfast was great The staff was extremely friendly

The manager was very helpful and guided us to the amenities and features of the property.

The view made the trip! Hearing the ocean, watching the waves - fantastic!! The room was also quite large for Japan - the biggest room by far out of the 5 hotels we stayed at.

Staff spoke little amounts of English which helped with the communication barrier
