"The best things about this hotel are an outstanding location, a 24-hour diner in the building, and a friendly staff. However, physically, it has seen better days. The rooms are worn out to the point of feeling dirty. Also, while the bed was comfortable, there was no blanket or quilt. Just multiple sheets. "

"We loved our stay at Public, the hotel is beautiful and the staff went out of their way to help us. It’s in a great location, we were able to walk most of the trip. I do wish they had better parking options at the hotel. "

"Had to be flashing my hotel card key everywhere I went, so they know I was a guest. Lots of construction going outside. I couldn’t sleep. Noisy area. Breakfast sucks. "

" Bar was closed by 11pm on a Friday night in New York. I was charged an extra $35 for credit I never asked for and was told it was mandatory two days before check in. Staff was very helpful, friendly, accommodating with early check in. "
