"This is a clean, conveniently located motel. It has been remodeled within the last several years. The staff is friendly and helpful; pet friendly. Price is very good. Located on a busy road so bring ear plugs if traffic noise disturbs your sleep. Very good hot water. Two of us traveling so the room was adequate in size, 1 queen bed. I would definitely stay here again."

"Secluded but I can walk to stores and restaurants. 35 stairs brinhs me to a private beach. This is an adorable cottage with porch, sauna and hammock. My idea of " a little piece of heaven"!!"

"It says to bring towels but we went to town and bought a bath rug and charcoal lighter fluid. Theres only 2 lawn chairs. The texting messages we received were helpful but questions went unanswered."

"The manager at this hotel was fantastic She greeted us with such enthusiasm and helpfulness it was just amazing . You can see her staff looks up to her as well...The motel is just a motel But She makes this place special... Ashland is lucky to have her."

"Want to feel like a local in Bayfield County? This is the spot. It is walking distance to groceries, galleries, shops, and CoCo’s bakery, but quiet enough I napped in the hammock on the shaded front porch. A beautiful 15 minute drive to Bayfield attractions, minutes from local beaches (Friendly Valley beach is a local gem), and 20 minutes to quaint Cornucopia. We bought fresh Lake Superior whitefish and cooked it up in the well-stocked kitchen. Huge lawn, side deck, covered front porch, and a fire pit were all enjoyed during our short stay.Check-in and communication was a breeze. We have stayed in local hotels in the past but will be booking here the next time we head to the south shore of Lake Superior."
