「The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.」

「This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet.」

「Historic building with lots of charm, fresh flowers in every room, breakfast was a amazing, staff was very accommodating and helpful with restaurant recommendations and help chartering a sailboat. Located right across the street from a venue with private beach front available for our use. A great, relaxing option for your fall-vibe trip to the Apostle Islands.」

「Everything was perfect! Very clean, beautiful apartment, with a nice bathroom and kitchen- everything we were hoping for!」

「Host was very responsive, place was very clean. Nice and secluded but close to lots. Would stay again! The tub was also amazing」

「Clean room. Well maintained. Nice staff. Beds are a bit hard.」

「We enjoyed our stay and found new places to hike. This place is very nicely equipped for bringing your dog. We will rent here again.」

「We were very impressed with this VRBO, it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Everything was immaculately clean, the host was very helpful and in communication, and there were lots of nice touches to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the fire pit and enjoyed our s'mores while there! Definitely five stars!」

「My first impression was the shed next to the house looked like a meth lab. Not sure if it belonged to the property or not. The house is a work in progress. Not quite the image that the pictures online depicted. No screens on the windows except for one kitchen window..So we didn't get much ventilation. The refrigerator wasn't working well, I had to clean the vents on the back and reset the power to get it to work. I wouldn't stay there again.」

「Awesome location, great communication with host,Flat was newly decorated in 40’s deco. Loved loved the charm of the flat.」
