"Park visitor center is 15 minutes, Black Bear and IHOP nearby. Shopping center across highway. We were here in early March 2026, it is windy and cool at night. Room has good insulation, didn't turn heat on. Good blankets. Attempted hotel wifi, but it didn't work and not that important. Beware there is no wifi or cell coverage once you go inside Joshua Tree NP. It is the wilderness isolation you traveled for."

"When we first were assigned our room and entered, it was obvious that the room had been smoked in. We went back to the lobby and asked to be assigned a non-smoking room. When we went in our new room assignment, the room did not smell as bad, and had an air freshener. The bed in the room was set up on a frame, and had a cover, but the pillows did not have covers on them (not to be confused with pillowcases, which were present). We ended up going to Walmart and getting cheap pillows instead. The floors were a little sticky, but were swept clean. There aren't many hotel options in the Joshua Tree / Twentynine Palms area, so this had to do. It fits the definition of a budget hotel. "

"Property needs to be deep cleaned and painted. Needs serious upgrades on bedding , carpet , towels, etc. As if everything is dated from when first opened 50 years ago. Will not stay there again. "

"It was close to park, broken coffee maker took 2 asks to get replaced on 2nd day. Advertised gym but really a room with next to nothing for equipment. Entire place needs updating."

"The check in process is entirely digital. It’s a little wonky since service around there is spotty and I think having human interaction is just better, But the grounds and living space were absolutely beautiful. Great spot to unwind and watch the stars from their giant hot tub."

"The breakfast was awful. They offered a rubbery boiled egg and stale cereal. Not even a waffle maker. This was totally disappointing and gets a thumbs down from me"
