「Staff exelent especially the breakfast staff worked hard and the food was good」

「Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. Thank you. 」

「We stayed at the Derwent, we had requested for rooms close but were put on completely different floors. The hotel is very dated and is overdue an upgrade. The rooms are tired looking. We found some of the staff a little aloof and not many smiles around on reception or in the bars. The amenities are good. The outdoor and indoor pools looked good. There are some quieter places to sit if you wished. We had a lovely couple of days in Torquay and the hotel is conveniently located. If we stayed again...

「The hotel suite was sadly lacking in design attention and had no air conditioning. It requires full redecorating to match the finery in the public areas. The staff however were excellent- well done all of you. Breakfast was also lovely and plenty of it, staff remained calm and were professional under pressure at busy times.」

「Once past the tired exterior, we were greeted by Hassan (site manager). He was very friendly and patient when guiding all nine of us through how to use the coded doors. He genuinely couldn‘t do enough for us over our week‘s stay, from providing extra tea/coffee to giving advice on local attractions and places to go. All five rooms booked were clean and comfortable.
