"Excellent overnight stay for early next day flight. Staff were great. Friendly and easy to talk to. Shuttle to airport was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. Parked our car in hotel lot for duration of our trip for a very reasonable fee. When we returned from our trip, called for shuttle and it arrived in 5 minutes. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if needed. "

"The lunch menu and food was excellent. It was so good we decided to do dinner. Dinner was not as well done as lunch. I wonder if there was a chef change. The food was freshly prepared. The staff was amazing: friendly, warm. It was a cold cloudy day (Mar 21) so the riverside patio furniture was stowed away. Still a nice place to watch the river. One warning: river view rooms disappointing, one window without much of a view. Get a simple room and go outside. FWI I would go back in a heartbeat. BTW They take dogs and fussed over my dog Buster. He is really charming, so I can't speak for other dogs. "

"A downtown location with a fun and historic vibe. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The speakeasy bar had wonderful cocktails and a friendly bartender. Overall, good experience with helpful staff members. "

"The Marriot Providence is a very nice place to stay. Gratis afternoon wine and apps and morning coffee in lobby an added plus. Staff helpful and Blue Fin restaurant were ex- ceptional. Only complaint was some difficulty accessing internet in our room which caused me to access an important voice message on my phone. All in all recommend! "

"Front desk (one experienced person was training another, and only the new person had manners) seemed annoyed that I wanted to know what I was signing. They presented a blank white box with nothing else, and said it was to prove that I was checking in. Not ok. Everyone has the right to know what they sign! Lamp shade was furry and shower had soap scum - it wasn't clean. Breakfast was not very good. Had Fox news on. Very gross. Turn the TV off or to cartoons - how stupid! Will not stay again."

"Staff was friendly and helpful, general areas were clean for the most part, room was nice. Pool hours were frustrating — 9am-9pm. I have a 7 year old who couldn’t wait to use the pool when we got back around 9pm from the hockey game. He was majorly disappointed. Why 9pm? There is no lifeguard ever so why not 24/7? 9am opening is even more ridiculous. He’s up at 6am so trying to figure out what to do with him. Once it did open, there were no pool towels, pool was dirty and dirty towels (and someone’s socks) everywhere. Bizarre. Breakfast was terrible. It was a typical Buffett style but everything way overcooked, particularly the eggs. Plates were styrofoam with the cheapest plastic utensils you can buy, where the overcooked egg chunks go flying everywhere when u try to cut into them. A bunch of little things just made the breakfast experience annoying. Like salt and pepper shakers were not at individual tables, but a community spot where a line formed to use. Why? Put individual ones at the tables. Milk for kids cereal was a 2 gallon jug in a fridge instead of individual half-pints you could take to ur table. Overall, less than pleasant experience. "

"We have stayed here a few times. Very convenient when you have an early morning flight out of Pvd airport. Clean and comfortable and quiet. You can walk right over to the terminal or they have shuttles around the clock every 15 minutes. You can also leave your car in their lot for a daily fee. "
