"Me and my family always enjoy our stay at Ala Moana Hotel. There were multiple events happening in and around Ala Moana Hotel like graduations, cheer competitions and even beauty pageants which caused major back ups in the elevator. Security was really helpful and tried their best to help with the elevator situations. Housekeeping staff was spectacular. The hotel room was clean and fresh. We did notice that their beautiful lei wallpaper was peeling off in some areas. The ice & water machine was broken on our floor so we had to go to a different one for that. We also bought sodas from their vending machine, however the sodas were expired from 2025. I was able to get a refund at the front desk for the sodas. Other than those minor things, Ala Moana Hotel is a great place to stay!"

"We stayed four nights and we really enjoyed our staying the moment we arrived at the lobby. The staff was friendly and was always helpful when we needed it. The hotel was clean and so was the room. We only got in the pool once but the water to be a little cold for us. We ate once at the restaurant for dinner time and the wait time was not that bad but found prices to be a little steep but overall it was a good experience. One thing that really bothered us was that sometimes the elevators would take a very long time to arrive but other than that, we never had any issues at all. Right on the beach and surrounded by a lot of restaurants and stores, but sometimes it was hard to find parking on the street since we were not paying for valet parking. Definitely would stay here again if I want to be right across from the beach and the heart area of Waikiki."

"It was a lovely stay. Lights went out at about midnight didn’t come back on for couple of hours had to wait for the hot water to get hot again to take a shower. We were compensated for our troubles which was very nice of the establishment. but staff worked well to get everything under control. No microwave in hotel not sure why. "

"Compared to our usual Hilton stays, this hotel is well below average, though it worked for us since we only needed a place to sleep and were out and about all day. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, the view was great, and the kitchen was well-equipped with a fridge, stove, utensils, and an air-fryer microwave. The nearby 7-Eleven was also very convenient. However, the property has severe maintenance and safety issues. Our room had peeling wall coverings, improperly installed kitchen tiles, and dangerous, exposed electrical wiring. Additionally, the laundry room is falling apart with broken machines and a broken coin changer. Finally, their amenity policy is unacceptable. Despite charging a $25 daily amenity fee, they only gave us a single 24-hour gym pass for our 6-day stay and wanted to charge extra for my wife. I would give this place a 5star for the beautiful view and the kitchen being well equipped. We stayed at 3601@36th floor and the view of the mountains was amazing! If u don’t mind the rest, then i would recommend this place. We didn’t see any cockroaches unlike some other hotels we stayed in Hawaii i hope this helps :)✌️"

"They were painting the floors and our room smelled like paint thinner the first 2 days. I reported it to the front desk. They said they were going to do something but honestly, I don’t think they did. The fire alarm went off one day we went to the lobby. They didn’t really have any information nor did they tell us when everything was clear that it was OK to go back to the rooms. Beneath our balcony was a weed truck dispensary and a homeless man sleeping on the street. Needless to say it smelled like marijuana on the balcony. If I were to ever stay there again I would have to have an incentive."
