「POOR maintenance: broken entry doors to hotel; fitness room closed; broken window shade in room; mold throughout bath area; NO towel hooks except on bath door; no microwave or refrigerator; unreliable air conditioner; masking tape on door. POOR breakfast: almost burnt sausage daily, cold biscuits, few choices. At least there was a friendly, professional front desk staff. I could not cancel my stay because it was booked months in advance.」

「The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area. The Innkeeper (Erin) is a fantastic and helpful aspect of your experience, too. Highly recommended!!」

「We arrived at this one bedroom house in Martinsville on Wednesday May 13th. Not Tuesday May 12th. Okay so I only have 1500 words I can put on here I was going to write a novel. Abandoned cars two of them, a poorly kept yard, weeds growing through the upper porch that is 10 ft off the ground. A problem with the smoke detector. No table or chairs in the kitchen all kinds of cooking stuff yet no coffee pot we had to go buy one. Bathroom has a washer dryer towels furnished we did not use but one the...

「The room was discusting. It had human fecal matter and blood on wall in bathroom, a used lubricated condom in the nightstand drawer, the refrigerator was a solid block of ice, only one receptacle worked in the room, the furniture was so badly stained you were afraid to sit on it. The toilet didn't work properly, the recptacle in bathroom did not work neither did their hairdryer. The room was overall filthy and can not believe you would even put them on your website. Guess I will not be using...

「Breakfast was nice. Room was clean. They put us in room 101 and it seemed a little like staying in a basement, idk if it was humid or musty. But other than that, the bed was nice and room was big. shower had good pressure and was hot! No real complaints!」

「Very sad old hotel that is in great need of repairs and upgrades. There were 2 beds in the room, one was hard as a board and the other was way too soft. Wallpaper coming down, carpet badly stained, unrepaired damage in bathroom, etc. Desk clerk was very nice.」
