The hotel itself is older and dated which is part of its charm and appeal to us. We were unaware when we booked through Expedia that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. 「Very clean room and nice bed which is exactly what you are looking for. I gave 4 stars for maintenance because there is a musty smell, probably air conditioner. I do detect smells easily. Pleased with everything else.」

「When we first drove up to the Days Inn by Wyndham in Frankfort, I have to admit I was a little concerned. There's an abandoned restaurant next door, and several of the nearby storefronts are vacant, so my first impression wasn't the best. The motel itself is also an older property. However, once we opened the door to our room, my opinion completely changed. The room was absolutely immaculate. It was so clean that you could tell it had just been sanitized—I could even smell the bleach at first....

「The property is a repurposed historic home and the rooms very unique in the best way. Staff was so accommodating from housekeeping to restaurant and bar servers. Also, it's just a short walk to local shopping, restaurants and historic sites. We'll definitely be back.」

「The St. Clair in Frankfort is a charming boutique stay in a beautifully restored historic building, with loft-style studios full of character, an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and a convenient drive to nearby bourbon distilleries and Churchill Downs. There’s even a hidden speakeasy on-site, if you can solve the riddle to get in! Just know that, as with many historic loft properties, you may hear some noise from guests staying above you.」

「Info provided for directions was helpful since GPS did get confused... ours switched the names of the last 2 roads, but we were prepared and found it even though it was dark! It is a small condo, but worked for our purpose of a place to stay while touring some distilleries. Suggestion to help with the tiny bathroom... maybe another mirror with a table/shelf outside the bathroom or a table/ shelf in the bedroom so you could use the mirror there. Thank you! 」

「This cabin is darling. Updated and very clean. Had everything you may need during your stay. We unfortunately had a very rainy stay so we didn’t get to use the outdoor fire pit area but it sure looked nice. Perfect little getaway for two ❤️」
