「Clean room, good staff, comfy vibe - women's world cup rugby on. Fuss free atmosphere.」

「A very traditional old fashioned hotel in an excellent location on the sea front. Unfortunately we did not get the room we had booked. We booked a deluxe double or twin with sea view. Our confirmation from Expedia clearly showed a photo of the room type we had booked as did their website. We had also checked the hotels own website which also showed the deluxe sea view room and described it has having more space. On being shown to our room on the top floor it was clearly not the room we had...

「Met by overwhelming smell of air freshener which was clearly meant to cover up something possibly fresh paint. Made it a bit difficult to sleep normally. Then shower collapsed into itself but too late in evening to get fixed. Could not shower in the morning and receptionist not remotely interested when we informed him. No hint of recompense for not having a basic requirement of any hotel. Unbelievably disappointing experience」

「Comfortable beds and an acceptable breakfast, but with little choice. The hotel was very run down, the bedroom window was badly rotten, and the bathroom was in great need of a refurbishment. The 'luxury toiletries' that were promised on the website consisted of one bottle of an unbranded liquid hand wash. This property is part of the Richardson Hotel Group and I would not use any of their hotels again!」

「Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was reliable and fast enough for streaming. Food was middling (I had fish and chips). Staff were helpful and friendly. 2 mins walk to the beach.」

「The staff were friendly, the interior of the building was lovely, and the location was very convenient. However, I was informed the day before my arrival that the lift was out of order. My room was on the 3rd floor, so it was quite difficult to carry my heavy suitcase up. Unfortunately, the lift was not repaired during my stay, and I had to carry my heavy suitcase all the way back down to the reception when checking out.」

「The room was clean with everything that you needed. A king size bed would have been better but the room wasn't big enough. Staff were attentive, breakfast very good. Plenty of parking and accessible to the main A38.」

「Great breakfast and superb waterfront location!」
