"The omelet station is great. There needs to be more lighting in the dining area though... very dark. The fitness center is good although I wish it opened before 5:30 am. I appreciate a Kurig in the room. I have stayed at the Academy Hotel a few times and will continue to book there when in Colorado Springs for business."

"What a wonderful property! Such timeless beauty well kept and preserved. My only dislike was staff being in the ballroom watching movies and slamming the door on us when we were looking around. Understandable if we were not allowed to go in there, just rather rude to not even acknowledge us and then quickly shut the door on us while we were standing there, then hear them laughing. Right before this a young man came loudly into the front foyer to fetch a long table (seemed annoyed the whole time) and set it up rather loudly without even acknowledging us or another guest in front of the fire, or even attempting to apologize for the loud noises. Daytime staff were wonderful though! "

"Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious, convenient. Good value. Staff were polite and helpful. Not sure if it is considered an amenity found only in lower tier motel/hotel chains, but a microwave in the room would have been nice."
