Book a Catalina Island Resort

"Over priced for the condition of the place. I stayed in a cottage. There was black stuff all over the top blanket, it looked like it came from the AC that is located above the head board. The cottage was learning back, probably needs work on foundation. Everything looks beat , the walls, the bathroom, the shower. The bar was never opened. Go elsewhere, this place is a dump. "

"After staying at a couple of budget motels on our trip, the Catalina Canyon Inn felt like a resort. Our room was nice and big and clean. The lobby has a good assortment of snacks and there's a restaurant, but there is no free breakfast. There is a pool and no hot tub. It is quiet at night. Here's the only caveat: the inn is located at the top of a hill. It's about a 15-minute walk from downtown. *I don't recommend attempting to walk there with your luggage from the ferry.* They run shuttles (aka minivans) to the ferry terminal and downtown; they sit 5 people. You can also hail a taxi if the shuttle is full. BUT if it's a hot day and the taxis and shuttles are busy, you're probably gonna have to sit and wait for a while."
