It was a short ride to downtown Carlsbad or Encinitas which offer great dining options. The beaches were also a short ride from the hotel which made for a fun visit! "The reception staff was very friendly and was easy checking in. Room was very clean, no smell and very comfortable. When asking for amenities the staff was promptly responsive. We ordered from the restaurant, was not disappointed, was delicious. Nice pool area and basket ball court. Great place for kids to hang out. Negatives: if you get a room near the stairs you will hear people walling up and down (all night long). The bathroom shower door was not easy to open did not slide smooth and made a loud noise. Forgot watching TV on down time, very poor selection."
