Haven Hotel

8/10 Good

"Perfect location right on Sandbanks beach and easy to park. Can jump on the chain ferry just outside and walk along Studland beach too. Love the outside heated pool. We stayed in a budget double room which is great value. The room was clean and comfortable it just didn't have a view which was fine. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening which was very disappointing as the menu was nothing like what we had seen online. Breakfast was ok although items ran out fast and were not replaced very quickly."

"Our room was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the breakfast was very monotonous and the coffee was terrible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. At the weekend there was a large group of travellers in the bar and they were very rude to the staff. The atmosphere was very intimidating both for the staff and customers.Some of them were making racist comments. Their children were feral. We avoided the bar when they were present. Management should have done something."

"So much has changed since we stayed here 12 months ago. It has amazing air conditioning, super comfy beds. A nice TV for a change. Even a phone on the bedside table. And not sure if I understood the menu correctly but if I did then it now serves food all day and night akin to room service!"
