"Don't stay in room 408. The electrical plugs are really slow and the outlets are broken. It is right next to the stairwell and the maids are slamming the doors all the time. Additionally, the closet doors in the rooms are not constructed well and they slam automatically. I brought up these issues with the front desk about the electrical issues in room 408 and asked if I might have another room and they said they'd get back to me. Of course there was no follow through and when I did ask it just blew me off. So we paid about $100 a night under a special deal so perhaps it's you get what you pay for. I'm not sure any of the rooms in this hotel are super nice but it is a convenient location. Crazy people yelling at night and you can hear bottles breaking in the morning when they come to recycle. No restaurant service in the hotel they only serve buffet. Staff is nice but unresponsive and no follow through. "

"Spent one night before an early flight. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. No hot eggs, but fresh fruit, bread and the variety was good. Much better than expected! The shuttle was a bit confusing. It parked where cars park for drop off. It was black (in US Holiday Inn shuttles are white) and I never saw the logo, which doesn’t mean it’s not there. Luckily my friend saw it, while I was checking out a different van. It does seem to come pretty often, 15 minutes or so."

"I don’t know if all the rooms are the same but after a very long day and the usual stresses of flying the one thing you need is sleep. Not possible in the room I was in. Everything was great until it was time to switch the lights off. Directly above my bed was the brightest green “Exit” sign I had ever seen. No matter how I tried to position myself in the bed the bright light was beaming into my eyes. It was so bright it lit up the whole room. In the end the only thing I could do to escape it was stuff one of the long pillows between the light and the bathroom door but even then I still had to lie in a certain position to avoid the beam. Unfortunately, even though the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful I would never stay there again."

"This hotel is fantastic. Spotlessly clean with the comfiest pillows I’ve ever slept on. I even took a photo of the label so I could try and buy one back home. There’s a vending machine in the lobby and tea and coffee facilities. The shuttle bus is a people carrier and it’s only a few minutes from the airport. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I don’t think I will ever go to Bilbao again but if I do I will definitely be staying here. ♥️"

"The shared spaces are lovely. They really make an effort to make this place feel comfortable, clean and welcoming. The actual room though are not great. Just bunk beds with curtains. I guess it is nice to have the toilet, sink and shower in the room, but when you are sharing a room, I would have preferred having a more private space for showering etc. the street behind the room I stayed was incredibly noisy. I was able to tune it out but if you need quiet to sleep make sure your room is not facing the street. "

"My husband and I had fantastic 4 night stays. The room especially the bathroom is clean and bed is very comfortable. I chose this hotel because of it's location, just few steps to Guggenheim museum. Also, the Old town is walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast daily. The food was delicious and had variety to choose from. The restaurant staff and reception staff are nice, friendly and very helpful. We were delighted and enjoyed our stays. If we ever return to Bilbao, we will definitely stay at Hotel Vincci Consulado."
