Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront

10/10 Excellent

"The Property"

Amelia Hotel at the Beach

8/10 Good

"Hotel location just across from the beach access was great although daily parking fee is introduced at check-in. The hotel was clean and the room had a strange musty odor ( thanks fabreeze). The main downside was the light and noise that came from the doorway due to the gaps in the entire door frame. The adjouning room double doors were so cheep with a gap at the floor it was like having the guest next door in the same room with you. I actually jumped up at 6 am to silence my alarm when it was actually coming from the next room. Then of course listening to two women get ready for 45 minutes as if we were sharing a room. The complimentary hot part of the breakfast was standard frozen fare precooked cardboard bacon, tough sausage, rubbery cheese omelets and scrambled eggs. The toaster had barely any coils heating up and after maintenance was called and arrived with what looked like a new toaster in a box as he inspected the toaster the following day the old toaster was still limping along barley warming any items. Good location but fail on room structural issues and breakfast."
