    5 nights
    4.0 star property
    8.2/10 - Very Good (405 reviews)
"Breakfast was lovely and staff welcoming. Plenty of trams and buses available. We walked from Milano Central to the hotel - 1 hour. Pleasant walk on the flat. Walk to the city centre approximately 15 minutes. The hotel was spotless and well maintained, decor a little dated (90s). Would recommend and would stay again."

    Milan Centre

    4.0 star property
    8.6/10 - Excellent (1,017 reviews)
"Perfect location if youre travelling through Linate Airport. The M4 train line station Santa Sofia is walking distance from the hotel. There are shops and restaurants around the area. There are access going to city centre or even walking distance if you like walking. The hotel has restaurant at the top floor. Itbhas wide glass window enabling the city view. Though i found the price way above my budget for dining. The hotel waiting area is spacious and relaxing."

Città Alta

Perched on a hilltop above Bergamo, Città Alta captivates visitors with its medieval charm. Venetian walls encircle this UNESCO-listed treasure where Renaissance palazzos and ancient towers line cobblestone piazzas. The ornate Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore stands proudly alongside the marble-adorned Colleoni Chapel. The neighborhood comes alive through traditional osterias serving authentic Lombard cuisine like polenta and casoncelli pasta. Artisanal boutiques and local craft stores occupy historic buildings throughout the pedestrian-friendly center. The funicular railway connects to lower Bergamo, though exploring on foot reveals the most enchanting corners.

Citta Bassa

Lower Town is Bergamo's modern heart, where elegant shopping streets meet historic charm. Here you'll find the main train station, bustling markets, and the funicular connecting to Upper Town. Tree-lined boulevards and Liberty-style villas create a sophisticated urban landscape. Explore the Sentierone promenade with its stylish porticoes and café terraces. Via XX Settembre offers excellent shopping while Parco Suardi provides a peaceful green retreat. The neighborhood balances business energy with authentic Italian daily life.

Stazione

Bergamo's Stazione neighborhood centers around the city's main railway station. This practical hub connects travelers to Milan, Brescia, and regional destinations. Beyond the station, tree-lined streets lead to quiet residential blocks with balconied apartments. Just steps from the station, affordable hotels and family-run guesthouses welcome budget-conscious travelers. Local trattorias serve authentic Lombard specialties like casoncelli and polenta. The area offers a genuine slice of everyday Italian life away from tourist crowds.

Malpensata

This working-class corner of Bergamo offers an authentic glimpse into local life. Quiet residential streets and family-run trattorias serving hearty Lombard cuisine create a genuine Italian atmosphere. The neighborhood sits conveniently close to Bergamo's main train station. Budget-conscious travelers will appreciate Malpensata's affordable accommodation options. Small guesthouses and B&Bs provide comfortable stays without the historic center prices. Day trips to Milan or Lake Como are easy with excellent transport connections.

Borgo San Leonardo

Borgo San Leonardo offers a slice of authentic Italian life away from Bergamo's tourist crowds. This cultural enclave invites you to wander cobblestone streets where honey-colored buildings with terracotta roofs create a timeless atmosphere. Traditional trattorias serve hearty Lombard specialties while church bells mark the rhythm of daily life. Via San Bernardino's market street bustles with specialty food shops and local delicacies. Small piazzas feature ancient fountains where locals gather in the evenings. The neighborhood maintains its traditional Italian schedule, with afternoon pauses and lively evening aperitivo scenes.
