Our train was cancelled and they came to pick us up at Bandai Altima at a cost which was terrific. "Overall pretty good resort that is unfortunately showing its age. Our room was rather small for a family style room (comparatively to other ryokans we stayed at for a similar price point) but very clean. Beautiful location but very remote if you don’t have a car. Shuttles to and from Inawashiro station made it easy to take day trips to other areas. Most of the resort’s amenities were also not open during our stay too. The resort supposedly has multiple restaurants but only two were open while we were there. The outdoor onsen is quite nice as well."

"This was a nice hotel located very close to aizuwakamatsu station. It was dated- the bathroom was clean, but had a kind of old smell. The air conditioning didn’t work well, but it was cool enough to open the window. There were no laundry facilities, but there was a coin laundry pretty close by. We were given drink vouchers for each night’s stay but we didn’t use them because we felt underdressed for the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful- we transferred luggage and they were very helpful with that. Close to a 7-eleven and restaurants were nearby. Overall a nice stay and would stay again if going to the Aizu area."
