"My first impressions were very positive as the hotel is in a great location in Maidenhead and only a short walk to a variety of restaurants and eateries both chain and independent. The parking area is quite extensive allowing more than enough room for hotel and restaurant guests. There is a stylish reception area with friendly staff who checked me in early after confirming my room was ready. The room was artisticly decorated especially with the bathroom area. There is a well functioning air con unit as well as a nice fan. My main disappointment was that one of my main reasons in booking my accommodation was to use gym facilities. In enquiring about this, I was informed that the spa area was being renovated and not able to be used by guests until April. The lady on reception said that I should have been informed but the only message I received from the hotel did not allude to this. This was the only let down on a stay which would have been give 5 stars otherwise. My 3 main scoring criteria for an overnight stay is the shower, the sleep and the next morning's breakfast. All 3 were very good and combined for a stay at a place I would love to stay at again given the chance."

"Parking handy - Staff very good and efficient, especially Paul very friendly, and appeared to be doing everything and with a smile. Fab river view, nice bath and actually had aircon. Only gripe the safe didn't work."

"We booked this place for my husbands 70 th birthday! Ideal location for family to get to, just off the M4! Tom the host was outstanding, extremely helpful and very attentive, cannot fault him! The barn was fab. We hired a private chef for a celebratory family meal and he had no complaints with the kitchen, everything was provided that he needed. Great dining area, just what we needed for our celebration and of course the pool table and gaming chair were a complete hit with Everyone! A Great place to stay!!"

"This is a place for when you want to toyally switch off, relax and gave a great nights sleep. Having no TV on the room, meant we went to bed early, heard no a sound all night and came away fully refreshed after one night. There are a couple of nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance and the Thai Orchid is fab."

"The property is lovely for families. We had 15 in our party for our Wedding Celebrations.We chose this house for its facilities and because, our family members were flying into Heathrow and driving down from the Midlands.We played Football, Tennis Basketball and Hide and.seek on our first night. We prepared and, ate a meal at the table. The beds were very, very comfortable. On Saturday we went into Maidenhead.for.the Wedding Ceremony but spent the afternoon eating, relaxing in the garden, the pool and playing a rather competetive game.of football. Dominoes supplied our evening meal so haapy kids.More relaxing on Sunday with family departing but, all so happy to meet up in such a wonderful setting. Even the weather was wonderful. The house, the garden, and the wonderful facilities will become part of the family folklore for all the right reasons"
