Great location right next to the river Thames. The hotel is easy to find with good sized car park at the back. Well connected to main roads into/out of London and close to Heathrow airport. The access to the Thames path is right outside the hotel so good place to visit if you like walking along the riverbank.

Friendly and great location with easy parking. Room was clean although a little dated, but as they seem to be renovating sure this will change. A shame lots of hotel is closed for renovations and not mentioned when booking, however the great view, clean and spacious room and ease of stay means I would happily stay again.

This property is in need of refurbishing but is comfortable otherwise. The staff, particularly Shweta, are very helpful. Parking is excellent. Beds are comfortable. Short walk to Maidenhead shops.

The hotel has a very rich history and shows its age. It was under major renovations November, 2024. The staff was awesome and the hotel is very clean. There is no elevator and since the lower level is under construction it requires carrying luggage upstairs. There is a secured parking lot at the hotel.

Friendly Thames Hotel

This is a welcoming and friendly place. It is a little “tired” in places, but beautifully clean. The bed was comfortable and there is a kettle in the room. We had a lovely stay.

Property is very tired and very understaffed. The location is excellent though. The rooms were also very tired however the beds were extremely comfortable. This hotel with some investment and redec/moderisation has the potential to be very nice.

The staff were attentive and helpful beautiful view over river. Fairly priced alcohol. Good price for what you pay. NOW. I believe there’s new ownership. The place needs lick of paint I thought the limited food menu was a bit pricey. Single room needs new carpet and bed but did the job. Seating outside was shabby and falling apart. If they are new owners I wish them well in bringing this hotel up to scratch

Overall, good stay

For first time visit review very nice place to stay for 3 star hotel with good parking and secure. Only thing I would change is give better quality thicker pillows for better night sleep. As the pillows I had were so thin, Some additional information could be provided in the rooms with what’s for breakfast et cetera and booking out times. As I found the booking information provided on the website and the email for a booking site was one hour difference, so I was confused when the booking out was available. Very nice and clean rooms and friendly staff while recommend a visit.

Definitely not a four star hotel.

On arrival of the hotel we noticed the restaurant was closed for renovation, only to then find out the entire 1st floor was also under renovation. We stayed in a suite 209/211. The room we stayed in has wallpaper peeling off the walls, carpet was dirty, bathroom has black mould on the tiles all around the shower and the shower curtain was stained and disgusting. A toilet bush was leaning up againt the wall with no cover. Renovation work was on going until 8.30pm, which kept my 5 year old away. We were then woken at 6am by people talking above the room. I understand the building was built in the late 1800s but the siund was as though someone was shouting outside the door. The hotel smelt like a mix of building dust and curry. The two member of staff i spoke to were polite, bedding was clean and the carpark being included in the price are the only positives from this stay over. Photos show the state of the room.

Disappointing in several areas.

A beautiful large room….with a small bed (we thought it was king size and definitely was not) and a toilet so high off the floor my 6’2 husband could barely touch the floor and my 5’2 had no chance. Shower took a long time to warm up and even then wasn’t hot. Staff were polite and friendly. However, despite saying on hotels.com that there was room service this was not an option. We chose this hotel over others specifically because it had room service. I was to eat alone the first night and did not want to sit in a bar or restaurant alone so was looking forward to getting in and ordering food to the room. Ended up having to do exactly that. No breakfast in bed option and breakfast itself was poor. No bread, pastries, fruit etc despite jams and butter being out. Eggs were fried or nothing. There was basic fry up options and cereal, and you could ask for bread/toast to be bought out but overall the stay was very disappointing.

The hotel looks nice from outside, on closer inspection does reveals some tired exterior (like others I suppose). Entrance lobby is nice enough & clean & Receptionist was cheery & friendly. I had a twin room & staying for one night, as here for the weekend & just looking for a nice comfortable sleep (which I got). Firstly I should say that this met my purpose. Not too expensive but for the money I have stayed in better. Corridors, room doors & room itself was dated & could do with a refresh/upgrade but generally was clean. Part of curtains hanging off track. Carpets in hotel seemed to have some threadbare bits at tread edges. I did notice some other rooms were having work done so maybe that is happening over time - although was a bit noisy (thin walls) & another guest did complain after 5pm that work was still going on but wasn't for too much longer. Shower not the most powerful but hot enough. Refreshments & toiletries provided & clean towels. Beds comfy enough & were clean, decent mattress. Pillows a little thin for my liking. No air conditioning but we did have a fan provided & it wasn't too noisy. Surrounding area seemed nice enough (next to the Thames). View from room wasn't great but that wasn't what I was there for. Decent enough TV but live channels for some reason didn't work (except ITV ones)...free wifi so was able to use the SMART features to get some TV. All in all it was a decent enough stay & I'd possibly stay again if it got that refresh it needs.

When we arrived we discovered this hotel had been closed for about 6 months. We sent you a review and statement about this hotel over a week ago and did not receive a response from you. We are literally stunned to discover we did not have a place to stay!! Fortunately 2 of the construction worker were able to help us find another hotel. We had been driving for several hours and were looking forward to staying at this hotel. We were completely stressed out over this situation. We were only able to find a hotel several miles away which was not convenient to any restaurants, shopping or public transportation. The only good thing was that it was a UNO property. I would expect some compensation from Expedia for this inconvenience.

The hotel is very basic and is currently being refurbished. There are no dining facilities. The heating wouldn't work in our twin room so we were moved to a family room when I complained. We stayed here as we were walking the Thames path and it's in a great position for that. So hopefully when it's finished it will welcome other walkers.
