"Good location, modern interior. Lovely chandeliers in dining room! Reception area though is too dark it felt almost as if we were entering the Adams family front hall! Rooms are small but in keeping with Japanese hotels. Nice colour scheme almost regal. Beds are solid and good for sleeping. Pyjamas are provided!!! Which I love about Japanese hotels. Our room faced the street and was directly opposite the cleaners room ( which was opened and visible each time we left our room! Not a good idea...

"This hotel was overall beautiful, great location and comfortable for the 4 of us to stay in 1 room. Keeping in mind everything is just smaller in Japan, that would be my only con is there really is no floor space with 4 beds but other than that I have no complaints. Staff was always nice and helpful!"

"10階は女性専用ラウンジもありリラックスできてとてもよかった。お部屋も1人にしては充分なサイズでベッドもよかった。女性専用ラウンジ内に洗濯機もあり便利だった。朝食は隣接している松屋食堂で選択肢は多くはないけどボリュームもあり満足できた。2泊したが値段も大変リーズナブルでまたぜひ利用したいと思います。"

"I stayed here for two nights, but wish I stayed for more. The bed was very comfortable and much bigger than I thought it would be. The room had great amenities and was very quiet. The staff was very nice during check in and check out and made transferring my luggage to my next hotel super easy. "

"Beautiful hotel. From the building itself to the foyer and our room - clean and beautiful. Our bathroom was luxurious. The hotel was exceptionally located next to the river. Staff were kind and friendly. 5/5 would recommend to anyone. "

"This hotel was nicely decorated, modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The family room was very spacious but unfortunately didnt have storage space, so had to live out of our suitcases. This appears to be normal for Japan though. Kyoto station is 10mins walk, Kujo station is 5mins and the bus stop is 5mins. This allowed us to travel all around Kyoto without any issues. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Price was right, nothing fancy, but served our purpose. A place to sleep, nice clean bathroom, small fridge and table. We don’t spend a lot of time in our room, a place to sleep and clean up. This was good for that, and location was good. 20 min walk to Kyoto station, and about the same to Gion area. Would stay again. Couple in late 40’s. "
