"Staff was friendly and helpful and room was very clean and well ordered. Only problem was none of the vending machines were working and early in the morning the refridgerator started making a slight buzzing sound. Nothing serious, just kind of annoying."

"Close to the airport and free shuttle is a plus. Nice hotel with a lot food restaurants within walking distance. Front desk was nice and let me check in early when I got there early and was waiting in the lobby. "

"Very affordable for a nice, clean basic room with no frills. Place has been cleaned up considerably since my last visit a few years prior. You won't get a mint on your pillow or a cute towel-folded animal on your bed, but you can't beat the value for a clean room."

"This was my second stay at the Puffin Inn. The staff is great and the shuttle is convenient. The free breakfast is generous. I talked to some other patrons, some of them stay there several times a year. The hotel is making some improvements. The building noise started at 10 AM promptly at 6 pm. No pool or gym. Good prices, safe neighborhood, clean rooms. The Korean Restaurant across the street has delicious food. "

"This was an over-night stay to conduct some business in Anchorage. As always we travel together, the Wingate is an older place showing its age, but the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was great as many of the local hotels no longer provide this service, it makes Wingate a go to for those without wheels. All in all I would stay again, although it's not my first choice when in Anchorage. "
