"We were disappointed that the pool wasn't open and there was no laundry facilities on site but we managed. Our room was very dated but it was clean and comfortable. The property was very well kept and it was beautiful. The restaurant on site was very good and reasonable prices."

"The motel is a bit old with limited electrical outlets in the room and the WiFi is poor. We have to sit outside the room for streaming but the view from the window is spectacular. It’s great the restaurant Lobest Galley is tight next to it."

"This is a little overdue, however I definitely wanted to post this. So I rolled in here on Friday February 2nd for a skiing weekend at Cape Smokey, and was due to check out Sunday morning February 4th...but after 120 cm of snow over the weekend, I didn't get out until February 6th. All I can say is that the staff were absolutely outstanding in what must have been a difficult situation for them in what was one of the worst snowstorms in decades. "This is a beautiful hideaway in the middle of northern Cape Breton. The owners are so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We arrived on ADV motorcycles looking to explore the interior and were not disappointed. The food at the restaurant was also a highlight."
